Tip : We think there are two rounds of shows. Possibly a good time to enter the bar to see the 'sexotic' dancing show (the best in town) is just after 10 P.M.

Long Gun is a success story of Soi Cowboy. It has been doing well and making customers happy for years on end. While being a relatively small bar, it is one of the drawing magnets of Soi Cowboy.
Lucky Star offers a lot of shows. There are no objections anymore against nudity at Soi Cowboy, so the shows are often explict. They can be entertaining, but of course can become a bit tedious after you have seen them many times. Sometimes you get to see shows from a bygone area, when there was a lot of interest in the physical feats the girls can achieve with their vaginal muscles. So from time to time, there will be a reappearance of shows such as : the banana show, the ping pong ball show, shooting darts at balloons. Though it has been a while since we saw the girls opening bottles or extracting razor blades from their insides.

In between shows, the girls often dance in the nude. There are quite a few better looking girls. Quite a few, though not yet old, have been working there for some years (which means, the management is not abusing them too much).

An important problem at Long Gun is how to get into the bar. It is usually packed full, especially during the weekend days. That said, Long Gun (or Lucky Star) is not as busy as it used to be, since some other larger bars now attract more customers.

This is one of the few bars with three shifts of girls dancing. This implies actually that lots of girls are present. When also taking into account the shows, it means many girls have a lot of 'free time' at hand, and will be looking for customers for a drink or more. While it is customary in other bars for the girls to slip away after sitting with you for just 5 or 10 minutes (they have to go dancing ; if there are only two shifts, as in most bars, that means every 15 minutes they have to be on stage), in Long Gun they may stay with you for a 'long time' provided you buy them a drink after a while. This has an advantage in that you are more able to have a talk, and see what kind of attitude and character the girl has before you decide to buy her out for the night. Since the girls have more 'free time' on hand, they seem to like to linger around with the customers.

Long Gun remains one of the bars you should check out on Soi Cowboy. The prices are reasonable compared with other bars. Standard drinks at 130 baht, while a bottle of water goes for 60 baht.

In the beginning of 2009 the bar has had an upgrade. The upholstery has been replaced, the lighting improved, and the lavatories (which used to be really third-world) are now somewhat up to standard. The no-smoking policy has been particularly useful for Long Gun. In the old days it used to be filled with smoke throughout the evening.
